Many older buildings have little or no reliable technical documentation. A PEMD assessment therefore provides a valuable opportunity to reconstruct data—such as the nature of the materials, the composition of the structures, and the construction methods of the period. All of this information helps ensure sound design decisions and enhances the technical understanding of the site.
